    LOL, that’s somewhat of a sexist comment. Just because the series contains bishounen fodder, you would assume this is why women would flock to this?

    I myself am female and have kept up with Macross since 1982 but it wasn’t the ‘males’ that drew my attention. I did appreciate the mechas as well as the cute females in there….I just happen to appreciate eyecandy between genders.

    I’ll admit though…Alto is beautiful…but then again he resembles a female *chuckles*.

    Yeah – good point Lone Wolf. We don’t mean for it to be a sexiest comment. What we’re saying is that if your trying to get a female to watch the show and they don’t like mech shows, try to hook them in with the character design of the Alto and the rest. (We’ve updated the post to reflect this).
